DataIntent has invented a patented and unique technology for novel access and authentication devices, such as secure active tokens, thumb drives, and smart cards. Our proprietary memory architecture affords strong hardware-based security for multi-factoraccess and authentication, with no known methods that can break (hack) the system. The technology is so low in total cost that it overcomes any barriers to entry for a variety of secure applications in both domestic and international markets.
The innovative step in this technology is the use of a single circuit secure memory architecture that has no scratch pad. With a single circuit secure memory, memory is not re-writeable, so data written to the memory permanently and uniquely identifies and authenticates all transactions. Transaction history is not volatile and is incapable of subsequent modification. Any subsequent erasure of data, if possible at all (depending on the implementation of the control program), is 100% tamper evident since erased storage is different from unused storage. These security advantages are unique to the single circuit secure memory architecture employed by DataIntent. Thus, the single circuit secure memory device gains security from what it leaves out of manufacturing cost.
This enabling technology is widely applicable in a variety of devices, applications and form factors. It can be used in stand alone devices, as well as, be embedded in the line designs of existing devices. The finite memory fills up, so very low-cost devices can be set to self-expire based at any length of time or number of uses.
